An Obituary : Tuan Haji Abdul Hamid Omar

" 15 september 2019 we lost our beloved grand Dad at  5.10 in the morning at IJN. he passed down a lot of tips on politics and strategy of  psywar to his siblings.

tokbah Started as an English teacher in a Chinese School in 1951.  Was a reporter for Bernama, Pengarah Penerangan for Kelantan, Sarawak and Penang. Head of Psy War for Jabatan Penerangan in the 80s.

We spent  at least thousands of hours discussing on war strategies .  Political Strategy . Especially Psy War. 

He was personally trained by the father of Datuk Seri Wan Azizah and CC Too of the Special Branch on Strategies . Psy War. 

Was involved in the  fighting the communists during the  Emergency in Kelantan in the 50s  well before the advent of social media , he plotted a strategy to win the hearts of the rakyat through his writings, drama, social visits,  wayang pacak, dikir barat. 

An expert in Photo Jounalism - he put a real meaning to me of ... " *a picture paints more than a 1000 words, before the emergence of photo shop*.  He was an expert on this . An icon. Can write a book  about him. 

Was single  handedly responsible for the downfall of  the Government  of  Kelantan in 1978. He was also nvolved in MAGERAN Kelantan after that. 

A strong supporter of the Pakatan Harapan Government and vehemently opposed to corruption, misuse of power and non integrity. Works under Tun M 1.0 and supporter of the same, 2.0.

Hails from Jalan Telipot , Kota Bharu, Kelantan. He is survived by his wife Cik Putih and 7 children.  Has almost 100 cucu and cicit , at the time of his demise , he was 87 years old.  

As Hari Malaysia approaches to its 56 years  birthday on the 16 of September, Malaysia has lost its one of its  very patriotic  sons. Our family has lost a father and a leader. 

Datuk Husham has dubbed him as an expert on  Psy War and a  Strategist, who frequents Arwah Tuan Hj Hamid in Kota Bharu.
